Jakes Resort, a Conde Nast 2015 Gold List honoree, is one of Jamaica's singular, lyrical and altogether memorable places. Inspired by the legacy of Perry Henzell, the director of The Harder They Come (picked best film soundtrack by Rolling Stone magazine), Henzell's family have led the development of an innovative, artistic and active community on the south coast of Jamaica based around the Jakes and Jack Spratt properties.
The 3,500-resident community of Treasure Beach avoids the rainfalls typical on the other side of the Santa Cruz mountains. So this means anywhere you bike through pristine, patchwork farmland, hike to views that will amaze you, complete a one of a kind workout with TRX slung from the yoga deck’s rafters and go through circuits at the Sports Park. It’s all here. Come workout hard and relax right.
Jack Sprat is the rhythmic culinary and community hub of the Treasure Beach community. Just-caught seafood is prepped any way you want it, and the island’s best pizza comes with toppings like lobster, jerk chicken and the freshest veggies. Don't forget Thursday night movies and bonfires on the shore.
Jakes Resort booking includes room only and based on availability April 15th-Dec 15th 2017 (excluding Thanksgiving in the USA). Meal at Jack Sprat includes US$50 toward dining at the restaurant.
